From the mysteries of the great Andean civilizations...
|
... to the colorful Peruvian dress and the people
themselves, Nicole found Peru to be a land of visual and textural
contrast that today informs her designs.
|
|
Nicole is a colorist at heart. She cites some of
the past century’s great artists such as like Rothko, O’Keefe,
Malevich and Kandinsky, as well as the Bauhaus as her inspirations.
|
 Growing
up in New England, the forests of Maine and Cape Cod coast instilled
in her a love for the rawness of nature. Her designs reflect this
in their elemental use of color and form. Her finished pieces,
that use alpaca and llama fleece as well as natural dyes, unite
her twin loves of art and nature.

|
Today you can find Nicole in
her store on Pearl Street in Boulder, Colorado, and constantly
looking for new ways to merge art with nature in order to
promote a greater global community.
